Those forgotten in life need not be forgotten in death.                                                               The spirit of the Christmas season is an opportunity for compassion and concern for all, especially the homeless.

Once again, our faith community is preparing to observe Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day in Knoxville. It is observed every year around the country on December 21st, the longest night of the year, to give an opportunity to remember the passing of people who experienced homelessness, and to bring awareness to the tragedy of homelessness.

A candle light walk and memorial service will be held to remember our homeless neighbors who died in 2011. The public is welcome.

They stayed late to wash, break, and prepare for the freezer. We will be able to
serve these with a meal to our homeless neighbors. Thanks folks!

The downtown area is filled with the sweet smell of smoking BBQ. Along with Gospel music, prayer and a message, it is a real treat for everyone. We are blessed to have such compassionate and dedicated volunteers who serve the Lord at Lost Sheep Ministry.

What an awesome group of young adults. What a GREAT team!

For those of you that are new to LSM, we are a Knoxville based ministry, serving the homeless and needy in our great city.  To learn more about what we do, please check out the programs that we’re involved in.
